I’m getting excited for my Tron costume now. I think I might have figured out how to light it up properly. I’m still worried about wiring being close to the body but the LED strip lighting comes with a waterproof sleeve.
This is going to be a crazy project but so much fun.
I’m not entirely sure how I plan on altering the shoes I found. I know I have to do some cutting but until I purchase them and see what the wedge is actually made out of I can’t be sure what I’m going to do.
My plan so far is get one of the white suits, probably the cotton one, and add the grey details to it. I’m going to need to cut away the mask and the fingers on the gloves to make it look right. I’m going to make strip pockets for the lights and run the wires under the suit fabric hopefully in their own little cases to keep the bare wire from my skin. As to the shoes my plan is to hollow them out with some shop tools and sand/paint them so you can’t tell it used to be a solid block.
I will need to make a backpack attachment for the disk and a box for the wires to connect to so I can light up. These pieces have to be removable so I can get in and out of the suit.
As to makeup, that’s not too bad. I have a white Ben Nye cream palette which works fine. Black eyeliner and shadow and a hell of a lot of hairspray and/or gel to get my hair back into the perfect bun.
All in all, this is getting exciting.
